ORDER VACATING EXCESS PORTION OF A
PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE - ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBERS 567 -18 -52 AND 567 -18 -53
(16490 HARWOOD ROAD) FOR PUBLIC ROAD PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos has proceeded under the
provisions of Division 9, Part 3 (Section 8300 through 8331) of the Streets and
Highways Code, concerning vacation of a parcel of land dedicated for public street
purposes in the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, consisting of a strip of
land approximately 610 feet long and another strip of adjoining land 257 feet long
which combined contains approximately 42,431 square feet located along the southerly
side of Hyacinth Lane and the southerly prolongation of Begonia Drive, and more
particularly described on Exhibit "A" entitled, "Description of Excess Portion of a
Public Thoroughfare To be Abandoned (16490 Harwood Road) by the Town of Los Gatos ",
and Exhibit "B" entitled, "Plat to Accompany Description of Public Thoroughfare
Abandonment ", copies of which are attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the public convenience and necessity does not require the reservation
of easements and rights -of -way; and
14HEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Streets and Highways Code, a
Resolution of Intention was passed, a noticed hearing held, and good cause appearing
therefor.
RESOLVED, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos finds from all of the
evidence submitted that all of that excess portion of the Public Thoroughfare at
16490 Harwood Road described above is unnecessary for present or prospective public
street purposes, and hereby makes its order vacating the excess portion of the
Public Thoroughfare Dedication at 16490 Harwood Road (Across a portion of Assessor's
Parcel Numbers 567 -18 -52 and 567- 18 -53).
FURTNER RESOLVED, the Town Clerk shall cause a certified cony of this Order,
attested by her under the seal of the Town, to be recorded in the Office of the
County Recorder of the County of Santa Clara,

Gatos held on 18th day of March , 1985 by the following vote:

DESCRIPTION OF EXCESS PORTION OF A PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE TO BE
ABANDONED (16490 HARWOOD ROAD) BY THE T014N OF LOS GATOS
All that certain parcel of land in the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa
Clara, State of California, described as follows:
BEGINNING at the southerly terminus of the westerly line of Begonia
Drive as said drive is shown on the map of Tract No. 2250 filed in
Book 101 of maps at page 38, Santa Clara County Records; thence from
said Point of Beginning along the southerly prolongation of said
westerly line, South 00 05' 58" East 89.85 feet; thence along a
tangent curve to the right having a radius of 970.00 feet through a
central angle of 50 46' 16" for an arc length of 97.70 feet to a point
of reverse curvature; thence along a curve to the left having a radius
of 1030.00 feet through a central angle of 50 28' 43" for an arc
length of 98.49 feet; thence South 00 11' 35" West 325.58 feet to a
point on the southerly line of that certain 1.23 acre parcel conveyed
to Rudolph A. Mirrassou et ux, by deed dated May 27, 1953 and recorded
May 27, 1953 in Book 2651 of Official Records at page 521, Santa Clara
County Records; thence along said southerly line North 89° 35' 00"
East 60.00 feet; thence leaving said southerly line North 00 11' 35"
East 324.94 feet; thence along a curve to the right having a radius of
970.00 feet through a central angle of 5° 28' 43" for an arc length of
92.75 feet to a point of reverse curvature; thence along a curve to
the left having a radius of 1030.00 feet through a central angle of 5°
46' 16" for an arc length of 103.74 feet; thence North 00 05' 58" West
48.25 feet; thence along a curve to the right having a rad' :us of 20.00
feet through a central angle of 890 42' 58" for an arc length of 31.32
feet; thence 89° 37' 00" East 236.89 feet; thence North 0° 10' 00"
West 22.00 feet to a point on the southerly line of Hyacinth Lane (38
feet wide) as shown on the said Tract No. 2250; thence along said
southerly line South 890 37' 00" West 316.77 feet to the Point of
Beginning.
Containing 42,431 square feet more or less.
