A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE EXCESS PORTION OF A
PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE FOR PUBLIC ROAD PURPOSES
(AT THE NORTH END OF LYNDON AVENUE NEAR BEAN AVENUE)
RESOLVED:
I. It is the intention of the Town Council to vacate, under the provisions of
Division 9, Part 3 (Sections 8300 through 8331) of the Streets and Highways Code, a
public road right -of -way situated in the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara,
State of California, consisting of a strip of land approximately 400 feet long which
contains approximately 18,318 square feet located at the northerly end of Lyndon
Avenue near Bean Avenue, and more particularly described in Exhibit "A" (Description
of Excess Portion of a Public Thoroughfare to be Abandoned by the Town of Los
Gatos), and Exhibit "B" (Plat to Accompany Description of Public Thoroughfare
Abandonment), copies of which are attached hereto. Said Exhibits show the
particulars as to the proposed abandonment, and are available for public inspection
in the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center, 110 East
Main Street, Los Gatos, California.
2. Public Utility Easements shall not be retained over the area to be
abandoned.
3. On April 15, 1985, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 110 East
Main Street, Los Gatos, California, the Town Council will hold a public hearing to
consider whether or not the easement is necessary for present or prospective public
use. The meeting will begin at 7:30 P.M. All persons interested are invited to
attend and be heard,
4. The Town Clerk is authorized, and is hereby directed to publish a copy of
this resolution in the Los Gatos Times, a newspaper of general circulation,
published and circulated in the Town of Los Gatos, within fifteen (15) days after
the date of its adoption.
5, The Mayor of the Town of Los Gatos is authorized, and is hereby directed to
execute that document entitled, "Notice of Abandonment of Excess Portion of a Public
Thoroughfare ", a copy of which is attached hereto, and the Town Engineer is
authorized, and is hereby directed to conspicuously post three (3) copies of said
Notice, not more than 300 feet apart, on at least ten (10) days before the date of
the public hearing above designated.

Gatos held on 18th day of March , 1985 by the following vote:

PORTION OF A PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on March 18, 1985, the Town Council of the town
of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, adopted Resolution
No. 1985 -20 entitled, ",A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE AN EXCESS PORTION
OF A PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE FOR PUBLIC ROAD PURPOSES ", located at the northerly
end of Lyndon Avenue near Bean Avenue. A copy of said Resolution No. 1985 -20,
and a map entitled, "PLAT TO ACCOMPANY DESCRIPTION OF PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE
ABANDONMENT ", showing the particulars as to the proposed vacation are on file
in the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center, 110
East Main Street, Los Gatos, California, and are available for inspection
during regular business hours.

TO BE ABANDONED (LYNDON AVENUE NEAR BEAN AVENUE) BY THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
All that certain parcel of land in the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa
Clara, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point of intersection of the Southerly line of Bean
Avenue, and the Westerly line of Lyndon .Avenue; thence along the
Southerly line of Bean Avenue South 61° 29' 00" East, 50.06 feet to
the Easterly line of Lyndon .Avenue; thence along the Easterly line of
Lyndon Avenue, along a nontangent curve concave to the East with a
radial bearing of South 58° 40' 57" East, having a radius of 1,875
feet; through a central angle of 10° 53' 47 ", an arc length of 356.58
feet; "thence continuing along said Easterly line South 200 25' 16"
West, 39,29 feet, to a point of cusp; thence from a radius point which
bears South 690 34' 44" East along a tangent curve concave to the
Southwest, having a radius of 40 feet, through a central angle of 1040
28' 39 ", an arc length of 72,94 feet to a point in the Westerly line
of Lyndon Avenue; thence along said Westerly line North 201 25' 16"
East, 0,56 feet to a point of curvature; thence along a tangent curve
concave to the East, having a radius of 1,925 feet, through a central
angle of 10° 49' 25 ", an arc length of 363065 feet to the point of
beginning.
