A RESOLUTION RESCINDING TOWN RESOLUTIONS 1982 -112 AND
1984 -203 AND ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR
THE TOWN TREASURER
WHEREAS, the Town Council wishes to provide compensation to the newly - elected
Town Treasurer at a level equal to that of the retiring Treasurer;
and
WHEREAS, Resolution 1982 -112 would have decreased the newly - elected Treasurer's
compensation to a $9,285 annual salary; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 1984 -203 would have increased the newly- elected Treasurer's
compensation to a $10,000 salary; and
WHEREAS, Town Code Section 2 -10.1 mandates that the Town Council shall estab-
lish by resolution compensation for the Town Treasurer;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution 1982 -112 and Resolution 1984 -203
are rescinded; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council establishes the compensation for
the term of the newly- elected Town Treasurer to be inclusive of all
compensation provided to the retiring Treasurer as follows:
1. An annual salary of $12,000 per year;
2. A monthly auto allowance of $75.00;
3. Full payment of Town medical and dental insurance;
4. Participation in the Public Employees' Retirement
System (at the discretion of the Treasurer);
5. Provision of office space in Town Hall.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA,
at a regular meeting held this 17th day of
December 1984, by the following vote:
