A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF LOS GATOS COMMENDING
JAMES A. STOOPS
WHEREAS, JAMES A. STOOPS has, since 1956, served the Town of Los Gatos
as a member of the Town Council (from 1956 to 1960) and as
Town Treasurer (from 1967 to the present); and
WHEREAS, JIM has fulfilled the responsibilities of each of these elective
posts with outstanding efficiency and expertise; and
WHEREAS, during these years, JIM has consistently worked to serve the Town
with an unusual sense of purpose and dedication to members of the
local government and community alike; and
WHEREAS, this dedication to the Town of Los Gatos for a period of over
twenty years is culminating in JIM's retirement on December 3,
1984;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
THAT JAMES A. STOOPS be commended for his significant contributions to Town
Government over the past twenty years and for his outstanding service and
dedication to those Town residents he has served; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council does hereby extend to JIM the
sincere hope that his well deserved retirement from public service is one
of deep satisfaction and personal fulfillment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA,
at a regular meeting held this 19th day of November
1984, by the following vote:
