A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR THE
POSITION OF TOWN TREASURER
WHEREAS, Section 2 -10.1 of the Town Code provides that the Town Council
shall establish by resolution compensation for the position of
Town Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, the incumbent Town Treasurer has decided not to seek reelection
after serving as the Town Treasurer for eighteen (18) years;
and
WHEREAS, the current compensation for the incumbent Treasurer has been
based on his specific knowledge and abilities as an eighteen -
year incumbent; and
WHEREAS, a new Town Treasurer, without that significant experience, shall
take office following the November 6, 1984 election;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council establishes the compen-
sation for the newly elected Town Treasurer to be inclusive of the following:
1. An annual salary of $10,000 per year;
2. Full -time payment of medical and dental insurances;
3. Provision of office space in Town Hall.
