A RESOLUTION COMMENDING VALERIE PATRICIA BURROW
WHEREAS, VALERIE PATRICIA BURROW, the beloved daughter of Dennis and Pat
Burrow, long -time residents of Los Gatos, was called upon not too
long ago to face one of life's toughest challenges; and
WHEREAS, VALERIE, at the age of 16, chose to fill her last two years of life
with courage, enthusiasm, and dedication to those principles and goals
which had guided her so successfully through her years as a student at
Loma Prieta, Blossom Hill, Daves Avenue, C. T. English, and Fisher
Junior High, before entering and completing Los Gatos High School; and
WHEREAS, VALERIE continued to participate in the many community activities with
which she filled her days -- the English Hand Bell Choir and other
young people's activities at Skyland Community Church, her many years
as an active member of the local 4 -H Clubs (raising sheep and rabbits),
her outstanding work as an honor student at Los Gatos High School and
her determination to graduate with the other members of the Class of
1984, and her acceptance as an undergraduate at UC Santa Cruz; and
WHEREAS, VALERIE's own love for her family was reflected in the unfailing
confidence and assurance with which she faced whatever the future
held for her -- a tribute to the love and support that her remarkable
family continued to give her day after day;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos
does hereby commend VALERIE PATRICIA BURROW for her shining example of faith,
courage and devotion which we in Los Gatos were fortunate enough to witness
over these past few years.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Town Council at a regular meeting held this
6 day of August , 1984, by the following vote:
