RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
REQUESTING CONSOLIDATION OF THE GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION WITH THE STATEWIDE
GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER
6, 1984 AND CONSENTING THERETO
WHEREAS, Los Gatos Town Code Section 2 -3.4 provides that the general
municipal election for the Town of Los Gatos shall be held on the day of the
Statewide General Election; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 4 of Part 2 of Division 14 of the Election
Code, a general municipal election may be consolidated with a Statewide General
Election;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos:
Section 1. The Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos orders and directs
a general municipal election to be held on November 6, 1984, in the Town of Los
Gatos, at which election shall be submitted to the qualified electors of the Town
the following offices to wit:
COUNCIL MEMBER
COUNCIL MEMBER
TOWN CLERK
TOWN TREASURER
Section 2. In accordance with the provisions of Section 23302 of the
Elections Code of the State of California, the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara, California
to consolidate the general municipal election with the Statewide General Election
which is to be held in Santa Clara County on Tuesday, November 6, 1984.
The Election precincts, polling places, voting booths and election
officers for the above - mentioned general municipal election shall be the same as
those provided for the above - mentioned Statewide General Election, in the Town
of Los Gatos.

The Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters is authorized and instructed
to canvass the returns of said election and this governing body consents to such
consolidation.
SECTION 3. The Town Clerk is ordered to give such notice of said election
as is required by law, and to do all other things required by law to hold the
general municipal election above provided.
The Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to certify to the
adoption of this resolution and to transmit a certified copy to the Board of
Supervisors of the County and to the Registrar of Voters of the County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos this 16th day of July 1984, by the following votes:
