A RESOLUTION TERMINATING ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS
OF CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS
BLOSSOM HILL MANOR - ISLAND ANNEXATION TO THE
TOWN OF LOS GATOS
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos pursuant
to Section 35150.5 of the Government Code initiated annexation proceedings
of certain inhabited territory designated as Blossom Hill Manor - ,Island
Annexation by adopting Resolution No. 1984 -5 on January 3, 1984;
WHEREAS, proceedings for the annexation were commenced
pursuant to Article 2 (commencing with Section 35220) of Chapter 3 of
the Government Code and public hearing was held by the Town Council on
February 6, 1984 to hear protests against the annexation;
WHEREAS, written protests were filed and not withdrawn by
more than 25% and less than 50% of the registered voters within the
territory;
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 35228 of the Government Code the
Town Council ordered and directed the measure be submitted to the
electors of the Blossom Hill Manor Island Annexation area for their
approval or disapproval of the annexation at the special election to
be held on June 5, 1984 by adopting Town Resolution No. 1984 -19 on
February 21, 1984; and
WHEREAS, the majority of the votes cast (no 397 - yes 394)
on the Blossom Hill Manor Island Annexation at the June 5, 1984 election
pursuant to Certificate of Election Results by the Santa Clara County
Registrar of Voters dated June 18, 1984 disapproved the annexation;
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that pursuant to Section 35237 of the
Government Code the Blossom Hill Manor Island Annexation proceedings
shall be terminated as of the date of adoption of this resolution.
IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk is directed
to file a certified copy of this resolution with the Executive Officer
of the Local Agency Formation Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town
Council of the Town of Los Gatos held on the 2nd day of July , 1984
by the following vote:
