RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
PROCLAIMING NATIONAL PUBLIC WORKS WEEK
MAY 20 THROUGH MAY 26 1934
WHEREAS, public works services provided in this community are an integral part
of everyday life, and
WHEREAS, the support of an understanding and informed citizenry is vital to the
efficient operation of public works systems and programs, such as water, sewers,
streets and highways, public facilities and utilities, and
WHEREAS, the health, safety and comfort of the community greatly depend on these
facilities and services, and
WHEREAS, the quality and effectiveness of these facilities as well as their
planning, design and construction are vitally dependent upon the efforts and skill
of public work personnel, and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The week of May 20 to May 26, 1934 is hereby proclaimed as National Public Works
Week in the Town of Los Gatos.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a _Ltallar meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos held on Zlst day of May 1984 by the
