A RESOLUTION COMMENDING
ORANGE CRUSH
WHEREAS, the 1983 -84 basketball season saw the Los Gatos High School girls'
team, the ORANGE CRUSH, bring home a series of victories, adding to
Los Gatos High's long history of outstanding achievement in the
field of athletics; and
WHEREAS, the members of ORANGE CRUSH and their Coach, JOHN MACKEY, led Los
Gatos to a season of excitement and celebration through their series
of triumphs from early fall to early spring; and
WHEREAS, dedication to achieving their exceptional goals saw ORANGE CRUSH,
with a 24 -0 regular season record, win their second Northern California
Championship in three years and a berth in the State Championship
playoffs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town of Los Gatos does hereby congratu-
late:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council does extend to all those responsible
for the victories which ORANGE CRUSH has brought to the entire community
the Town's genuine pride, appreciation and gratitude for an outstanding
job well done.

a regular meeting held this 2nd day of April 1984, by the
