A RESOLUTION INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIG14ATED AS LOS GATOS BOULEVARD #10 TO THE
TOWN OF LOS GATOS
RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara,
State of California that
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation to the Town of Los Gatos consisting of all that
unincorporated territory known as Los Gatos Boulevard #10, located along Los Gatos
Boulevard in the County of Santa Clara is proposed for annexation to the Town of Los
Gatos pursuant to Part 2 of Title 4, Division 2, commencing with Section 35000 et
seq. of the Government Code; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the satisfaction of the Town Council that the owners of
land included in said proposal desire to annex to the Town of Los Gatos in order to
receive municipal services.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos of the County of Santa
Clara DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE and ORDER as follows:
1. The Town of Los Gatos is the conducting authority and hereby initiates
annexation proceedings pursuant to Section 35150.5 of the Government Code.
Proceedings of the Los Gatos Town Council will be held pursuant to Article
2 (-commencing with Section 35220) of Chapter 3.
2. The territory proposed to be annexed is designated as Los Gatos Boulevard
#10 Annexation, and the boundaries are described in the real property
description and map attached hereto marked Exhibits "A" and "B",
respectively.
3. The territory proposed to be annexed is uninhabited as by Section 35033 of
the Government Code of the State of California.
4. The reason for the proposed annexation is to properly plan and provide
municipal services to the area which is already surrounded by the Town.
5. On May 7, 1984, at the meeting of the Town Council beginning at 7:30 p.m.,
in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 110 East Main Street, Los
Gatos, California, a public hearing will be held during which the Town
Council will hear protests against the annexation.
6. Since the territory is uninhabited, law provides that any owner of land
within the territory may file a written protest against the annexation with
the Town Clerk at any time prior to conclusion of the Town Council's
hearing on the proposed annexation.
7. The Town Council has determined that the annexation is Categorically Exempt
from the provisions of CEQA, California Administrative Code Section
#15319(a) and (b).
The Town Clerk is directed to cause notice of the hearing on the proposed
annexation to be given as provided in Section 35055 and 35223 of the Government
Code, and said notice shall include all the information specified in Section 35220
of the Government Code.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a E29.ular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos held on the 19 day of March , 1984, by the following vote:

All that real property situate in the County of Santa Clara, State of
California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northerly corner of that certain annexation to
the Town of Los Gatos entitled "Los Gatos Boulevard No. 9 ", said
point also being a Southerly corner of that certain annexation to
the Town of Los Gatos entitled "Burton Road No. 1", and said
point also being the intersection of the Southerly right -of -way
line of Burton Road and the Westerly right -of -way line of Los
Gatos Boulevard as shown on that certain Record of Survey of a
monument line of South Bascom Avenue from Union Avenue to Lark
Avenue in the County of Santa Clara as recorded in the Office of
the County Recorder of the County of Santa Clara in Book 264 of
;flaps at pages 49 through 54; thence from said point of beginning
along the Westerly line of Los Gatos Boulevard No. 9 annexation
and said right -of -way line of Los Gatos Boulevard South 31° 23'
West, 91.68 feet; thence leaving the line of last said annexation
and last said right -of -way North 580 30' West, 187.36 feet;
thence North 310 30' East, 91.64 feet to the South right -of -way
line of Burton Road; thence along said line South 580 30' East
189.90 feet to the point of beginning.
Containing 0.40 acres more or less.
