A RESOLUTION COMMENDING ALLEN SLUTMAN FOR HIS
SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
WHEREAS, Allen Slutman served as a member of the Planning Commission
since May 11, 1970; and
WHEREAS, he served -the Commission as Chairman and also as Vice - Chairman
from 1972 to 1.977; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure on the Commission. Allen Slutman participated
in several important Planning projects for the Town of Los
Gatos, including the development and adoption of the General
Plan in the early 1970's, adoption of the Town's Sign Ordinance,
pre- zoning of unincorporated lands within the Tonw's urban
service area, Villa Vasona, Los Gatos - County Hillside Specific
Plan, the Downtown Specific Plan, and the revision of the
Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, during this period he unselfishly contributed his time, energies
and capabilities to both the Commission and the community; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council feels that such outstanding public service
deserves special recognition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Los Gatos Town Council does
hereby render, with genuine appreciation, its gratitude and
commendation to Allen Slutman for his service to the Town and
its citizens as a member of the Planning Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, California
at a regular meeting held -this 20th day of June, 1983•
