A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
LOS GATOS COMMENDING POLICE CAPTAIN CLARENCE W. YOUNG
FOR EXEMPLARY SERVICE TO THE TOWN
WHEREAS, CLARENCE W. YOUNG, since September 12, 1955, served the Town of
Los Gatos as a Police Patrolman (1955- 1959), Police Sergeant
(1959- 1964), Police Lieutenant (1964- 1968), and Police Captain
since 1968; and
WHEREAS, Clarence has fulfilled the requirements of these positions
faithfully and well; and
WHEREAS, During these years he has made many friends for the Los Gatos
Police Department and the Town through participation in
community affairs and service to the residents of the Town; and
WHEREAS, this dedication to the Town of Los Gatos for a period of almost
twenty -eight years culminates with Clarence's retirement on
June 30, 1983;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
that Captain Clarence W. Young be commended for his many
contributions to the Los Gatos Police Department over the
past twenty -eight years, and for his dedicated and loyal
service to the residents of the Town;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council does hereby extend to Clarence
W. Young its deepest appreciation for service faithfully and
excellently rendered, and its sincere hope that his retirement
from the service of the Town of Los Gatos is one of satisfaction
and fulfillment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA,
at a regular meeting held this 20th day of June 1983,
by the following vote:
