1983-075-Declaring That The Public Interest And Necessity Demand The Immediate Expenditure Of Public Money To Safeguard HealthRESOLUTION N0. 1983 -75 RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY DEMAND THE DIMIATE EXPENDITURE OF PUBLIC MONEY TO SAFEGUARD HEALTH The Town Council of Los Gatos hereby finds and resolves: 1. On April 4, 1983, Town maintenance personnel discovered a sewer main failure in the Alta Vista Subdivision. At least three residences are connected to the sewer main, and raw sewage was being discharged overland. 2. The foregoing facts constitute a public calamity under Section 20168 of the Public Contract Code, and the public interest and necessity demand the immediate expenditure of public money to repair the sewer main in order to safe- guard health.
