A RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION AND APPRECIATION
FOR HAROLD A. JOHNSON
WHEREAS, HAROLD A. JOHNSON has served the people of the State of
California as a sworn law enforcement officer since June of
1955; and
WHEREAS, HAROLD A. JOHNSON served with distinction as the Chief of
Police for the Town of Los Gatos from June 1, 1970 to
December 31, 1982; and
WHEREAS, Chief Johnson has served the residents of the Town of Los
Gatos in community service activities of the Los Gatos Lions
Club, the Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce, the American Red
Cross, the YMCA, and other community groups; and
WHEREAS, Chief Johnson is retiring from the position of Chief of
Police effective December 31, 1982;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos commends HAROLD A. JOHNSON for a distinguished career in law
enforcement and service to residents of the Town, and further commends
him on his leadership of the Los Gatos Police Department for the past
twelve years.

at a re ular meeting held this 6th day of December
1982, by the following vote:
