A RESOLUTION COMMENDING RUTH CANNON
WHEREAS, RUTH CANNON has served the Town of Los Gatos for close to fourteen
(14) years as an outstanding leader in various phases of Town Govern-
ment; and
WHEREAS, RUTH served initially as a member of the Los Gatos Planning Commission
from December 1968 to April 1970, filling the unexpired term of a pre-
vious commissioner; and
WHEREAS, RUTH then chose to run for office as a member of the Town Council in
1970 (which she did successfully then and again in 1974 and 1978); and
WHEREAS, RUTH served with distinction as Mayor of the Town of Los Gatos in
1972 -73 and 1976 -1977; and
WHEREAS, RUTH's fourteen years of dedicated service to the Town have brought
to Town Government a sense of responsibility, dignity, humor and
purpose unparalleled in previous years; and
WHEREAS, this period of extraordinary dedication to the Town of Los Gatos and
its citizens is culminating in RUTH's retirement at the end of this,
her third term as a distinguished member of the Town Council;
.IOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos
commend RUTH CANNON for her significant contributions to Town Government over
the past fourteen years; and
3E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council does hereby extend to RUTH CANNON
its sincere hope that her so richly deserved retirement from Town Government
is one of deep satisfaction and personal fulfillment.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA,
at a regular meeting held this 15th day of November
1982, by the following vote:
