A RESOLUTION COMMENDING
LELA JOHNSON AUSTIN
WHEREAS, LELA J. AUSTIN served the Town of Los Gatos as a Housing and
Community Development Committee member during the years 1975
and 1976, and at that time chaired the Task Force on the
Feasibility Study for the Downtown Neighborhood Center; and
WHEREAS, that Housing and Community Development Committee was integrated
into a new Community Services and Development Commission; and
WHEREAS, Lela served on the Community Services and Development Commission
for six years and was chair of said commission for three years;
and
WHEREAS, during this period she was an active member on numerous subcom-
mittees and chaired the Rent Mediation Subcommittee; and
WHEREAS, during the years she has unselfishly contributed her time,
energies and capabilities to these commissions and committees; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council feels that such outstanding public service
deserves special recognition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Los Gatos Town Council does hereby
render, with genuine appreciation, its gratitude and commendation to LELA
J. AUSTIN for her service to the Town and its citizens as a commission
member since 1975.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA,
at a regular meeting held this 16th day of August 1982,
by the following vote:
