A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF LOS GATOS ADOPTING A COMMUNITY
EVENTS FUNDING POLICY.
WHEREAS, the Town has traditionally provided support to various community -
oriented events of a public nature; and
WHEREAS, the Town wishes to continue its support of events providing
benefit to the community; and
WHEREAS, the Town wishes to institute a policy of full cost recovery for
events that are fund - raising and not community oriented;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, and it is hereby resolved that requests from
the public for Town support for community events be approved by the
Town Council only after review by staff to determine whether the
event is community- oriented, of public benefit, and /or fund raising
in nature; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Town support for events that are fund raising in
purpose and not of community benefit be assessed the full cost of
Town support.

at a regular meeting held this 19th
