A RESOLUTION COMMENDING
SGT. TOM MITCHELL
WHEREAS, SERGEANT L. THOMAS (TOM) MITCHELL has, since September 1972,
served the Town of Los Gatos as a member of the Police Depart-
ment as Police Officer (September 1972 -March 1980) and as
Sergeant (since March 1980); and
WHEREAS, Tom has fulfilled the demands of each of these positions with
increasing efficiency and,expertise; and
WHEREAS, Tom has worked consistently to serve the Town with an unusual
sense of purpose and dedication to the members of this com-
munity;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS
GATOS, that SERGEANT L. THOMAS MITCHELL be commended for his
service to the community over the past ten years as an out-
standing member of the Los Gatos Police Department; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council does hereby extend to
Tom its best wishes for continued success in the field of
law enforcement as he moves on to the position of Chief of
Police with the West Valley Community College District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS,
CALIFORNIA, at a regular meeting held this 6th
day of July- 1982, by the following vote:
