A Resolution of Appreciation
STEPHEN H. GOODMAN
WHEREAS, STEPHEN H. GOODMAN has faithfully and with great distinction served
County Sanitation District No. 4 of Santa Clara County for 30 years,
including service as District Manager since July 1, 1982; and
WHEREAS, during that time, Steve has overseen the following improvements to
the communities of the County's West Valley:
° Construction of 468 miles of new sewer line;
A successful bond election in 1965, which raised $7.5 million;
° The formation of 55 sewer assessment districts; and
° Numerous other administrative activities, including such note-
worthy achievements as negotiation for sewage disposal agreements
with the City of San Jose and current involvement in negotiations
for County Sanitation District No. 4 participation in the San Jose/
Santa Clara Water Pollution Control Plant Capital Improvement
Program; and
WHEREAS, Steve has shown an outstanding ability to manage the complex funding
mechanisms of County Sanitation District No. 4;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos
that STEPHEN H. GOODMAN be commended for his dedication and many years of
remarkable service to the residents of the Town of Los Gatos and, further,
that he be congratulated on the occasion of this testimonial to this 30 years
of service on Wednesday, May 12, 1982.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS at a
regular meeting held this 17th day of May
1982, by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS Ruth Cannon, Thomas J. Ferrito,
Brent N. Ventura and Peter W. Siemens
