RESOLUTION COMMITTING THE TOWN COUNCIL TO ABIDE BY THE
DECISION OF THE VOTERS ON MEASURE G ON THE JUNE 8, 1982 BALLOT
1. The Council has placed an advisory measure on the June 8, 1982 ballot,
asking the voters to approve the concept of allowing a subsidized housing project
on the Villa Vasona site for seniors and handicapped only; and
2. The Elections Code states that such a measure is not legally binding
on the Council, but the Council wishes to commit itself to make it binding;
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED
The Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos hereby formally and irrevocably
commits itself as follows:
1. If the voters disapprove the measure, the Council will not allow subsi-
dized housing on the subject site.
2. If the voters approve the measure, the Council will exercise its best
efforts to facilitate a project for seniors and handicapped on the site, subject
to funding and other contingencies.
