A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS CREFFIELD HEIGHTS NO. 1
TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
WHEREAS, on March 10, 1982, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the
County of Santa Clara, State of California, pursuant to a petition signed by
all the owners of land within the territory to be reorganized, approved the
de-annexation from the City of Monte Sereno and annexation to the Town of Los
Gatos of that hereinafter described area, designated as Creffield Rights No. 1
to the Town of Los Gatos and, by their Resolution No. 82 -16, directed the Town
Council of the Town of Los Gatos to initiate proceedings to reorganize said
territory without notice, hearing, or election, in the manner described in
Section 35221 of the Government Code of the State of California, and made the
following findings:
1. The project is categorically exempt from CEQA Class #15119(a).
2. The territory is "Uninhabited" as defined in Section 35038 of the
Government Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that the findings of the Local Agency
Formation Commission in Resolution 82 -16 are correct, and the territory
proposed for reorganization is situated in the incorporated area of the City of
Monte Serene, and is contiguous with the municipal boundaries of the Town of
Los Gatos.
RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, a municipal
corporation of the County of Santa Clara, State of California, that pursuant to
the provisions of Sections 35151, 35221, and 35234 of the Government Code of
the State of California, the reorganization from the City of Monte Sereno to
the Town of Los Gatos of that territory designated as Creffield Heights No. 1,
and described in real property description and map attached hereto, marked
Exhibits "A" and "B ", respectively, is approved, and that the same be annexed
to the Town of Los Gatos.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon completion of these reorganization proceedings
the territory annexed will be taxed in Town of Los Gatos Tax Rate A. including
taxes for existing bonded indebtedness.
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk is authorized, and is hereby
directed, pursuant to Section 35350 of the Government Code, to prepare under
seal a certified copy of this resolution, giving the date of passage, and
immediately transmit same along with a remittance to cover the fees required by
Section 54902.5 of the Government Code to the Executive Officer of the Local
Agency Formation Commission of Santa Clara County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos held on 5th day of April 1982 by
the following vote:

Rasmussen, and Vice -Mayor Brent N. Ventura
