A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF LOS GATOS IN RECOGNITION OF THE
OPENING OF THE FORBES MILL MUSEUM.
WHEREAS, the FORBES MILL MUSEUM will be opening on the weekend of March 27 -28,
1982; and
WHEREAS, the opening of this museum represents the culmination of years of
cooperative effort on the part of local residents and the EUREKA
FOUNDATION; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council wishes to recognize the significant contribution
made by many local residents to the museum project; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council wishes to offer its congratulations and thanks
to the Eureka Foundation for its sponsorship of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council designates the weekend
of March 27 -2.8, 1982, as FORBES MILL MUSEUM DAYS in the Town of Los
Gatos; and that specific recognition and commendation be given to
the following:

ROBERT E. LEE
the late DON CHAMBERLIN
KENNETH KIDWELL
GERRY AND GOODWIN STEINBERG
MR. AND MRS. SANFORD DILLER

the County Historical
Heritage Commission;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council urges residents of the community
to extend its fullest support to both the EUREKA FOUNDATION and the
FORBES MILL MUSEUM on the occasion of the revitalization and reopen-
ing of this historic landmark.
