A RESOLUTION OVERRULING OBJECTIONS
AND ORDERING ABATEMENT OF WEEDS AS A PUBLIC NUISANCE
WHEREAS, on February 1, 1982, the Town Council of the Town of
Los Sates adonted Resolution No. 1982 -39 entitled, "A RESOLUTION
DECLARING WEEDS A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND PROVIDING FOR THEIR ABATEMENT ",
directing the giving of notice that weeds will be abated by the Town
and the cost thereof made a lien upon the nrivate nroperties from
?a't =ich they are removed if the owners thereof fail to do se, and
establishina the lst day of March, 1982, as the time for a public
hearing by the Town Council, durina which all property owners having
anv objections to the nronosed destruction or removal of s.ch ,reeds
might be heard and given due consideration; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works of the mown of Los Gatos
gave notice of the nassaue of said Resolution No. 1982 -39 by causing
copies of the NOTICE TO DESTROY WEEDS in the same form as annexed to
said Resolution No. 1982 -39 to be published in the Los Gatos Times -
Saratoaa Observer, a newsnaner of general circulation nublish.ed in
the Town of Los Gatos on February 12 and February 19, 1982, resnectively,
and causing said notice to be nested on February 17, 1982 in three 3)
prominent places in the Town of Los Gatos; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said resolution and notice, the Town Council
conducted a nublic hearing this date with respect thereto, at which
time all property owners having any objections to 1=he nronosed des-
truction or removal of such weeds were heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AMD IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by 'she
Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of
California, that all objections, if anv, to the nronosed dest--ucLion
or removal of such. weeds are hereby overruled, and the Iirector of
Public Works, or his representative, is hereby ordered to abate such
nuisance, or cause the same to be abated, by having the weeds referred
to destroyed or removed by cutting, discing, che.d cal soraying, or any
other method which may hereafter be determined by the Town Council.
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Director of Public ?�?orks of the
Town of Los Gatos, or his authorized acent or representative, and
the Town Clerk, are hereby directed to proceed with the matters
set forth in Section 14 -18 and Section 14 -19 of the Los Gatos Town
Code.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council
of the Town of Los Gatos held on the 1st day of March, 1982, by
the following vote:
