A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF LOS GATOS RESCINDING EXECUTION OF THE JOINT
POWERS AGREEMENT AND COOPERATION AGREEMENT TO
UNDERTAKE OR ASSIST IN THE UNDERTAKING OF
ESSENTIAL ACTIVITIES PURSUANT TO TABLE 1 OF THE
HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974,
AS AMENDED, WITH A THREE -YEAR TERM UNTIL JUNE 30,
1985 AND; RECISSION OF TOWN OF LOS GATOS RESOLU-
TION NO. 1981 -197.
WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States of America have made
changes to the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 as amended
through the Housing and Community Development Amendments of 1981, and
WHEREAS, such amendments are viewed by the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos as being substantial; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos believes that
these recent amendments should be considered in the required three -year
Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement and related Acknowledgement Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos does hereby rescind the Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement
and Cooperation Agreement relative to qualification of the County of
Santa Clara as an Urban County under the Act (HCDA) and also Town of
Los Gatos Resolution No. 1981 -197.
The above and foregoing resolution was adopted at a regular meeting
of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos held on the 26th day of
October, 1981, by the following vote:
