A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE EXCESS
PORTION OF A PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE (234 LOS
GATOS BOULEVARD) FOR PUBLIC ROAD PURPOSES.
RESOLVED:
1. It is the intention of the Town Council to vacate, under the
provisions of Division 9, Part 3 (Sections 8300 through 8331) of the
Streets and Highways Code, a public road riqht -of -way situated in the
Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, consistinu
of a strip of land approximately 6 feet wide by 50 feet long located at
234 Los Gatos Boulevard, and more particularly described in Exhibit "A ",
(Description of Excess Portion of a Public Thoroughfare to be Abandoned
[234 Los Gatos Boulevard] by the Town of Los Gatos), and Exhibit "B ",
(Plat to Accompany Description of Public Thoroughfare Abandonment), copies
of which are attached hereto. Said Exhibits show the particulars as to the
proposed abandonment, and are available for public inspection in the
Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center, 110 E.
Main Street, Los Gatos, California.
2. On October 5, 1981, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center,
110 E. Main Street, Los Gatos, California, the Town Council will hold a
Public hearing to consider whether or not the easement is necessary for
present or prospective public use. The meeting will begin at 7:30 P.M.
All persons interested are invited to attend and be heard.
3. The Town Clerk is authorized, and is hereby directed to publish
a copy of this resolution in the Los Gatos Times - Saratoga Observer, a
newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the Town

of Los Gatos, within fifteen (15) days after the date of its adoption.
4. The Mayor of the Town of Los Gatos is authorized, and is hereby
directed to execute that document entitled, "Notice of Abandonment of Excess
Portion of a Public Thoroughfare ", a copy of which is attached hereto,
and the Director of Public Works is authorized, and is hereby directed to
conspicuously post three (3) copies of said Notice, not more than 300£eet
apart, on at least ten (10) days before the date of the public hearing
above designated.

THOROUGHFARE TO BE ABANDONED (234 LOS GATOS
BOULEVARD) BY THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS.
All that certain parcel of land situated in the Town of Los
Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, described as
follows:
Commencing at a point of beginning at the
intersection of the Southeasterly line of
Los Gatos Boulevard with the Southwesterly
line of Wheeler Avenue, running thence from
said point of beginning along the South-
easterly line of Los Gatos Boulevard South
340 West 300.56 feet to the true point of
beginning; thence continuing along the
Southeasterly line of Los Gatos Boulevard
50.56 feet; thence South 630 East 6 feet, more
or less, to a point which lies in a line which
is parallel with and 40 feet distant Easterly
at right angles from the centerline of Los
Gatos Boulevard, 68 feet wide; thence North
340 East, and along said parallel line 50.56
feet; thence North 63° West 6 feet, more or
less, to the true point of beginning.

PORTION OF A PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on September 9 , 1981, the Town
Council of the Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of
California, adopted Resolution No. 1981 -187 entitled, "A RESOLUTION
OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF A PUBLIC THOROUGHFARE (234 LOS GATOS
BOULEVARD) FOR PUBLIC ROAD PURPOSES ", located along the easterly side of
Los Gatos Boulevard between Stacia Street and Wheeler Avenue at 234 Los
Gatos Boulevard. A copy of said Resolution No. 1981 -187 , and a map
entitled, "PLAT TO ACCOMPANY DESCRIPTION OF STREET DEDICATION ABANDONMENT ",
showing the particulars as to the proposed vacation are on file in the
Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center, 110 E.
Main Street, Los Gatos, California, and are available for inspection
during regular business hours.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on October 5, 1981 in the Council
Chambers of the Civic Center, 110 E. Main Street, Los Gatos, California,
