A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING AUGUST AND
SEPTEMBER, 1981, AS "SLOW THE FLOW
MONTHS" IN THE SANTA CLARA VALLEY.
WHEREAS, the residents of the Town of Los Gatos are served by the San Jose -
Santa Clara Water Pollution Control Plant; and
WHEREAS, the plant each summer experiences peak flows due to increased
residential and business water usage; and
WHEREAS, other users of the Water Pollution Control Plant have launched a
"SLOW THE FLOW" public awareness campaign to ask residents in the
Santa Clara Valley to cut down on flows to the sewage plant by
conserving on water use in the homes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos does hereby endorse and support the summer water conserva-
tion effort; and, further, does hereby
RESOLVE AND PROCLAIM that the months of August and September 1981 be known
as "SLOW THE FLOW MONTHS" in the Santa Clara Valley.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS, CALIFORNIA,
