A RESOLUTION AFFIRMING A DECISION OF
THE TOWN PLANNING CO"4ISSI0N

WHEREAS, Clifford Louis has duly and regularly filed an appeal with
the Town Council, from a decision of the Town Planning Commission as follows:
Denial of Conditional Use Permit Application # U -81 -10 requesting permission
for off - premises sale of liquor at 444 N. Santa Cruz Avenue; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Town Council on July 20,
1981;
BE IT RESOLVED:
The decision of the Town Planning Commission is affirmed, based on
the following findings:
1. The To,an has experienced a number of police problems corrected with
excessive use of liquor.
2. The aforesaid problems are caused in part by the fact that the Town
has an unusually large number of establishments that sell liquor, both on and
off premises.
3. The addition of another establishment dispensing liquor would only
compound the aforesaid problems.
4. The appeal should therefore be denied, because the foregoing facts
preclude the Council from making the findings required by Section 5.20.210 of
the Zoning Ordinance.
