A RESOLUTION SETTING AN APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT FOR REVENUE
GENERATED FROM "PROCEEDS OF TAXES" PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XIII(B)
OF THE STATE CONSTITUTION.
WHEREAS, Article XIII(B) of the California State Constitution provides
that local governments are subject to an appropriations limit
from revenues designated as "proceeds of taxes," and
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos adopted an appropriations limit for the
fiscal year beginning July 1, 1980, and ending June 30, 1981,
on February 23, 1981; and
WHEREAS, the Town wishes to amend that appropriations limit so that the
limit is calculated based on recent population and price index
data supplied by the State Department of Finance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, that the
appropriations limit for the Town of Los Gatos for the fiscal
year 1980 -1981 is established at $5,700,559.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos at a
regular meeting held this _ 1st day of June
1981, by the following vote:
