RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING NATIONAL PUBLIC
WORKS WEEK.
WHEREAS, public works services are an integral part of our everyday
lives; and
WHEREAS, the support of an understanding and informed citizenry is
vital to the efficient operation of public works systems and programs
such as water, sewers, streets and highways, and public buildings; and
WHEREAS, the health, safety and comfort of this community greatly
depends on these facilities and services.
RESOLVED, that the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos does
hereby proclaim May 17 -23, 1981 as NATIONAL PUBLIC WORKS WEEK in Los
Gatos, and calls upon all citizens to recognize and support the Town's
public works programs.
