A RESOLUTION COMMENDING
BERT A. SPORLEDER
WHEREAS, on April 18, 1981, MR. BERT A. SPORLEDER did save the life
of Jason Kenny by diving in and retrieving the submerged
body of that child from the Los Gatos Creek; and
WHEREAS, MR. SPORLEDER risked his life in this successful attempt
at saving another human life; and
WHEREAS, MR. SPORLEDER has served the Los Gatos community as a
Volunteer Firefighter since 1965; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council is desirous of recognizing this exemplary
action on the part of MR. SPORLEDER:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council, at its meeting
of May 18, 1981, has passed this Resolution of Commendation in honor
of MR. BERT A. SPORLEDER and his heroic action in saving the life of
young Jason Kenny.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
California, at a regular meeting held this 18th day of May, 1981,
by the following vote:
