A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE IMPLEMENTATION
OF AN ASSESSMENT DISTRICT BY THE SANTA
CLARA VALLEY WATER DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara Valley Water District is considering the imple-
mentation of an assessment program to provide funds for flood
control purposes; and
WHEREAS, the District is in need of additional funds to provide adequate
flood control services to County residents; and
WHEREAS, the basic assessment unit for a single family dwelling would
only be approximately twelve ($12.00) dollars per year; and
WHEREAS, the staff of the District have presented the concept of the
assessment program to the Town Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos endorses the implementation of this assessment program to assure
adequate flood control services to residents of the Town of Los Gatos
and to the entire Santa Clara Valley.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
California, at a regular meeting held this 4th day of May, 1981, by
the following vote:
