A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF LOS GATOS IN SUPPORT OF AB -189
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Jail is severely overcrowded; and
WHEREAS, based on the Judicial Council caseload formula there is a
shortage of courtrooms and judges in Santa Clara County;
and
WHEREAS, Assemblyman Dominic Cortese has introduced AB -189 to provide
funds for the construction of additional jail and courtroom
facilities in the County; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos has reviewed
AB -189;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Council formally supports
AB -189 and urges the members of the California State Legis-
lature to also support the implementation of this legislation.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS,
CALIFORNIA, at a regular meeting held this 2nd day
of March , 1981, by the following vote:
