A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A
PORTION OF LAUREL AVENUE, A PUBLIC STREET.
RESOLVED:
The Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos elects to proceed under the
provisions of Division 9, Part 3 (Sections 8300 through 8331) of the Streets
and Highways Code, and resolves that it intends to vacate a portion of
Laurel Avenue, a public street, situated in the Town of Los Gatos, County
of Santa Clara, State of California, consisting of a strip of land approxi-
mately 20 feet in width and 400+ feet in length along the southwesterly line
of Laurel Avenue, and extending northwesterly from the intersection of
Laurel and Manzanita Avenues, as shown on the attached map and legal
description marked "Exhibit A". The exhibit shows the particulars as to
the proposed vacation, and is available for public inspection in the Office
of the Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center, 110 East Main
Street, Los Gatos, California.
FURTHER RESOLVED that October 6, 19803 the hour of 7:30 P.M., or as
soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, and the Council Chambers of
the Civic Center, 110 East Main Street, Los Gatos, California, are hereby
designated as the date, time, and place of a public hearing by the Town
Council during which all persons interested in or objecting to the vacation
of the above - described portion of Laurel Avenue may appear and be heard.
FINALLY RESOLVED:
(1) The Town Clerk is authorized and is hereby directed to publish
a copy of this resolution in the Los Gatos Times - Saratoga Observer, a

newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the Town of
Los Gatos, within 15 days after the date of its adoption; and
(2) The Mayor of the Town of Los Gatos is authorized, and is hereby
directed to execute a Notice of Street Vacation of a Portion of Laurel
Avenue, and the Director of Public Works is authorized, and is hereby
directed to post conspicuously three copies of such Notice, not more than
300 feet apart on Laurel Avenue, at least 10 days before the date of the
public hearing.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council
of the Town of Los Gatos this 15th day of September _, 1980,
by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS Ruth Cannon, Marlyn J. Rasmussen,
Peter W. Siemens, Brent N. Ventura, and Thomas J. Ferrito
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS None

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on September 15, 1980, the Town Council of the
Town of Los Gatos, County of Santa Clara, State of California, adopted
Resolution No. 1980 -128 , entitled "A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE
A PORTION OF LAUREL AVENUE, A PUBLIC STREET ". A copy of said Resolution
No. 1980 -128 , a legal description of the proposed vacation, and a map
entitled "PROPOSED ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF LAUREL AVENUE ", showing the
particulars as to the proposed vacation are on file in the Office of the
Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos, Civic Center, 110 East Main Street,
Los Gatos, California, and are available for inspection during regular
business hours.
