RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS CALLING A
SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER
4, 1980, REQUESTING THE CONSOLIDATION OF SAID
ELECTION WITH THE STATE GENERAL ELECTION TO BE
HELD IN SANTA CLARA COUNTY ON NOVEMBER 4, 1980
RESOLVED, by the Council of the TOWN OF LOS GATOS:
SECTION 1. The Council of the Town of Los Gatos calls a special municipal
election to be held on November 4, 1980, for the purpose of submitting to the
electors of the Town of Los Gatos the measure which is hereinafter set forth in
this resolution.
In accordance with the provisions of Section 23302 of the Elections Code of
the State of California, the Council of the Town of Los Gatos requests the Board
of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara, California to consolidate the special
municipal election with the State General Election which is to be held in Santa
Clara County on Tuesday, November 4, 1980.
The election precincts, polling places, voting booths and election officers
for the above - mentioned special municipal election shall be the same as those
provided for the above- mentioned State General. Election, in the Town of Los Gatos.
'The Board of Supervisors of Santa Clara County, California, is hereby
authorized to canvass the returns of said special election.
Pursuant to Section 10219 of the Elections Code of the State of California,
the Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos and the Clerk of the County of Santa
Clara are hereby authorized to agree to use, and to use, a letter designation
for the Town ballot measure that will not conflict with any other measure or
confuse the voters.
The Town Clerk is ordered to give such notice of said election, and of the
hereinafter specified measure, as in required by law, and to do all other things
required by law to hold the special municipal election above provided, and to
submit the measures in this resolution to the electors of the Town of Los Gatos
at the election.
SECTION 2. The Council of the Town of Los Gatos orders and directs that the
following measure be submitted to the electors of the Town of Los Gatos for their
approval or disapproval at the special municipal election, specified in Section
1 of this resolution, which is to be held on November 4, 1980:

Shall. the Town of Los Gatos sell land,
purchased by the Town using federal funds
supplied for housing, to a private developer, YES . . . .
to revert within fifty years, to construct
115 units of federally subsidized rental
housing for senior citizens and families on
5.79 acres of land in the vicinity of Capri
and Knowles Drive; wherein persons who live . . . .
or work in the Town will be given preference. NO . . . .
All in conformity within the Los Gatos General . . . . . .

PASSED AND ADOPTED at an adjourned continued regular meeting of the
Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos held on the 7th day of August, 1980, by
the following vote:
