RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
CALLING A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 4, 1980,
REQUESTING THE CONSOLIDATION OF SAID
ELECTION WITH THE STATE GENERAL ELECTION
TO BE HELD IN SANTA CLARA COUNTY ON
NOVEMBER 4, 1980.
RESOLVED, by the Council of the TOWN OF LOS GATOS:
SECTION 1. The Council of the Town of Los Gatos calls a special
municipal election to be held on November 4, 1980, for the purpose of
Submitting to the electors of the Town of Los Gatos the measure which is
hereinafter set forth in this resolution.
In accordance with the provisions of Section 23302 of the Elections
Code of the State of California, the Council of the Town of Los Gatos
requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara, California
to consolidate the special municipal election with the State General
Election which is to be held in Santa Clara County on Tuesday, November 4,
1980.
The election precincts, polling places, voting booths and election
officers for the above- mentioned special municipal election shall be the
same as those provided for the above - mentioned State General Election, in
the Town of Los Gatos.
The Board of Supervisors of Santa Clara County, California, is hereby
authorized to canvass the returns of said special election.
Pursuant to Section 10219 of the Elections Code of the State of
California, the Town Clerk of the Town of Los Gatos and the Clerk of the
County of Santa Clara are hereby authorized to agree to use, and to use,

a letter designation for the Town ballot measure that will not conflict
with any other measure or confuse the voters.
The Town Clerk is ordered to give such notice of said election, and
Of the hereinafter specified measure, as is required by law, and to do
all other things required by law to hold the special municipal election
above provided, and to submit the measures in this resolution to the
electors of the Town of Los Gatos at the election.
SECTION 2. The Council of the Town of Los Gatos orders and directs
that the following measure be submitted to the electors of the Town of
Los Gatos for their approval or disapproval at the special municipal
election, specified in Section 1 of this resolution, which is to be held
on November 4, 1980:
May the Town of Los Gatos levy an
additional business license tax on all
apartments of six (6) units or more in
the amount of $1.00 per month per unit, YES . .
to be collected in such a manner and . . . .
on such periodic basis as the Town
Council determines. The purpose of
this tax is to finance the Rental
Mediation Program. NO . . .
