RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION WITH
THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR ALLOCATION
OF TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR
1980 -81.
WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act of 1971 provides for
the disbursement of funds from the Local Transportation Fund of the
County of Santa Clara for use by eligible claimants for the purpose of
Community Transit Services Project; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the rules and regulations that have been
adopted by the Secretary of the Business and Transportation Agency of
the State of California in accordance with the provisions of the afore-
mentioned legislation, an eligible claimant wishing to receive an alloca-
tion from the Local Transportation Fund shall file its application with
appropriate transportation planning agency; and
WHEREAS, funds from the Local Transportation Fund will be required
to design and implement a cooperative community transit program between
the Town of Los Gatos and the City of Saratoga;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Town of Los Gatos that John Lochner,
Mayor, is authorized to execute and file an appropriate claim pursuant to the
terms of the Transportation Development Act of 1971, as amended, and
pursuant to applicable rules and regulations promulgated thereunder,
together with all necessary supporting documents, with the Metropolitan
Transportation Commission, for fiscal year 1980 -81 Transportation Act monies;
and be it further
RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the
Metropolitan Transportation Commission in conjunction with the filing
of the claim, and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission be
requested to concur in these findings and grant the allocations of
funds as specified herein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council
of the town of Los Gatos held on the 17th day of March , 1980,
by the following vote:
