RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AMENDING RESOLUTION 1986-52 DECLARING WORK PERIODS
UNDER THE FEDERAL FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT
WHEREAS, the Town Council declared work periods required by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
by Resolution 1985-731 on August 19, 1985, and
WHEREAS, the Federal Government passed legislation in November, 1985, delaying implementation
of FLSA until April 15, 1986 and the Town Council amended the declared work periods by Resolution 1986-
52 with an effective date of April 15, 1986; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council is now desirous of amending the declared work weeks and work periods
for patrol officers only, with an effective day of March 3, 1991,
RESOLVED, that the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos does hereby declare the following work
weeks and work periods:
Elected Officials
Management Personnel
Exempt
Exempt
Non -Management Sworn (Police) Personnel:
Patrol Officers 14 Day Work Period/86 Hours (Officers on modified 9/5 Plan)
Patrol Officers 7 Day Work Week/40 Hours (Officers on 5/8 Plan)
Personnel & Training Officer 7 Day Work Week/40 Hours
Detectives 7 Day Work Week/40 Flours
Sergeants 7 Day Work Week/40 Hours
All Other Town Employees 7 Day Work Week/40 Hours
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
California, held on the 19th day of February, 1991, by the following vote:
