RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS REMANDING TO THE
PLANNING COMMISSION ORDINANCE REQUIRING PARKING FOR
ADDITIONS TO SINGLE FAMILY AND TWO FAMILY RESIDENCES
WHEREAS:
A. The Town of Los Gatos Planning Commission has recommended modification
of the zoning ordinance provisions relating to parking requirements for additions to single
family and two family residences; and,
B. A public hearing was held by the Town Council on May 6, 1991.
BE IT RESOLVED:
A. The Town Council hereby finds that the ordinance of the Town of Los Gatos
modifying parking provisions for additions to single family and two family residences should
be remanded to the Planing Commission for further consideration to find alternative ways
to provide parking on site.
B. The Town Council further finds that the existence of an historic structure or
historic district could support findings allowing tandem parking or other alternative, such
as adequate on -street parking available.
C. Based on the foregoing findings the Town Council hereby remands the ordinance
modifying the parking requirements for additons to single family and two family residences
to the Planning Commission for further consideration.
PASSED AND ADOP I ED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos, California, held on the 20th day of May, 1991 by the following vote.
