RESOLUTION REMANDING TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION AN
ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS MODIFYING THE
ZONING ORDINANCE REQUIREMENT FOR YARDS FOR ACCESSORY

ACCESSORY LIVING QUAR I ERS
WHEREAS:
A. The Town of Los Gatos Planning Commission has recommended modification
to the zoning ordinance provisions relating to the required yards for accessory structures
other than secondary dwelling units and accessory living quarters; and,
B. A public hearing was held by the Town Council on May 6, 1991.
BE IT RESOLVED:
A. The Town Council hereby finds that the ordinance of the Town of Los Gatos
modifying the zoning ordinance provisions relating to the required yards for accessory
structures other than secondary dwelling units and accessory living quarters should be
remanded to the Planing Commission for further consideration to consider:
1. More than one foot, minimum of three feet;
2. Exceptions if next to an alley;
3. Height of garage (specifically 15-feet) but to include style consideration; and,
4. Discretionary wording so that projects are reviewed on a case by case basis
in regards to the issue of height.
B. Based on the foregoing findings the Town Council hereby remands the
ordinance modifying the zoning ordinance provisions relating to the required yards for
accessory structures other than secondary dwelling units and accessory living quarters to the
Planning Commission for further consideration.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Los Gatos, California, held on the 20th day of May, 1991 by the following vote.
