RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
URGING THE SANTA CLARA COUNTY TRAFFIC AUTHORITY TO PLAN,
DEVELOP, AND CONSTRUCT A PEDESTRIAN /BICYCLE
OVERCROSSING OF STATE HIGHWAY 17 AT EAST MOZART AVENUE
WHEREAS, a pedestrian /bicycle overcrossing of State Highway 17 at East Mozart
Avenue is a vital link in the development of a viable Santa Clara County pedestrian /bicycle
transportation system; and
WHEREAS, such an overcrossing would serve the needs of current and future users
of the Los Gatos Creek Trail and the Route 85 /West Valley Bicycle Corridor; and
WHEREAS, it is important that evolution of the transportation corridors of Highways
17 and 85 develop this overcrossing in the very near future.
RESOLVED:
1. The Santa Clara County Traffic Authority is urged and encouraged to plan,
develop, and construct a pedestrian /bicycle overcrossing of State Highway 17 at East Mozart
Avenue in the very near future.
2. The Town Clerk is directed to send a certified copy of this resolution to the Santa
Clara County Traffic Authority.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos, California, held on the 5th day of July, 1994 by the following vote.
