RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
TO AUTHORIZE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENT WITH
THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL
SERVICES FOR PURCHASE OF (2) TWO 1995 SEDANS
WHEREAS, in May 1990 Council adopted Resolution #1990 -89 authorizing Office
of Procurement, Department of General Services of the State of California to purchase
materials, supplies and equipment on behalf of the Town of Los Gatos pursuant to Town
Code 2.50.130(b)(2); and
WHEREAS, program objective is to reduce cost of commodities through volume
purchasing; and
WHEREAS, in April 1994 Council approved an amended vehicle replacement policy;
and
WHEREAS, replacement of used sedans ( 1 -2 years old) six years 80,000 miles
changed to six years 85,000 miles; and
WHEREAS, Parks, Forestry and Maintenance Services Department have reviewed
vehicles and recommend replacement based on age, and needed repairs.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
County of Santa Clara, State of California, that the Town Manager is authorized to execute
agreement with Office of Procurement, Department of General Services of the State of
California to purchase Materials, Supplies and Equipment for and on behalf of the Town
of Los Gatos pursuant to Section 10324 of the Public Contract Code.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos, California, held on the 21st day of February , 1995 by the following vote:
