RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
ORDERING THE DISTRICT ENGINEER TO PREPARE AND FILE
AN ANNUAL REPORT IN ACCORDANCE WITH
STREETS & HIGHWAYS CODE §§ 22565 AND FOLLOWING
REGARDING LANDSCAPING & LIGHTING DISTRICT ASSESSMENT NO. I—
BLACKWELL DRIVE BENEFIT ZONE AND
HILLBROOK BENEFIT ZONE
OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
WHEREAS, Landscaping & Lighting Assessment District No. 1-- Blackwell Drive
Benefit Zone and Hillbrook Benefit Zone was created by action of the Town Council pursuant to
the Streets & Highways Code; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council intends to consider levying and collecting assessments
within Landscaping & Lighting Assessment District No. 1 -- Blackwell Drive Benefit Zone and
Hillbrook Benefit Zone, as generally shown in Exhibits A and B hereto, for Fiscal Year 1995-
1996; and
WHEREAS, during the past year, the improvements within Landscaping & Lighting
Assessment District No. 1 -- Blackwell Drive Benefit Zone have been maintained in the following
way:
Replaced landscaping that died as a result of the damage to the irrigation system
controller from a traffic accident; maintained and watered existing landscaping;
maintained existing street lights.
WHEREAS, during the coming fiscal year, the Town intends to undertake the following
work and make the following improvements with regard to the improvements in Landscaping &
Lighting Assessment District No. 1 -- Blackwell Drive Benefit Zone:
Maintain existing landscaping, and maintain street lighting.
WHEREAS, during the past year, the improvements within Landscaping & Lighting
Assessment District No. 1-- Hillbrook Benefit Zone have been maintained in the following way:
Maintained and watered existing landscaping; maintained existing street lights.
WHEREAS, during the coming fiscal year, the Town intends to undertake the following
work and make the following improvements with regard to the improvements in Landscaping &
Lighting Assessment District No. I -- Hillbrook Benefit Zone:
Maintain and water existing landscaping, and maintain street lighting.
WHEREAS, the District Engineer should prepare a report describing the current state of
the improvements and the proposed changes or work, and calculate the assessments that would
be necessary to support this effort,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
The area shown in Exhibit A is hereby designated as the Blackwell Drive Benefit
Zone of Landscaping and Lighting Assessment District No. 1.
2. The area shown in Exhibit B is hereby designated as the Hillbrook Benefit Zone
of Landscaping and Lighting Assessment District No. 1.
3. The District Engineer, Director of Parks, Forestry & Maintenance, is ordered to
prepare and file an annual report in accordance with Streets & Highways Code §§
22565 and following regarding Landscaping & Lighting Assessment District No.
1 -- Blackwell Drive Benefit Zone.
4. The District Engineer, Director of Parks, Forestry & Maintenance, is ordered to
prepare and file an annual report in accordance with Streets & Highways Code §§
22565 and following regarding Landscaping & Lighting Assessment District No.
1 -- Hillbrook Benefit Zone.
Upon the filing of these reports, the Town Manager shall set the matter on the
Council agenda for consideration of a resolution of intention regarding the levying
and collection of assessments in Landscaping & Lighting Assessment District No.
1 -- Blackwell Drive Benefit Zone and Hillbrook Benefit Zone in Fiscal Year 1995-
1996.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of
Los Gatos held on the 1 st day of May, 1995 by the following vote:
