AGREEMENT WITH THE LOS GATOS MUSEUM ASSOCIATION FOR A
PORTION OF THE FORMER LIBRARY SPACE AT THE CIVIC CENTER
REMARKS
The Mayor has requested clarification regarding the reference in the staff report to potential minor
revisions to the lease agreement. All key terms have been successfully negotiated per Council
direction and included in the lease agreement. An outstanding minor term yet to be finalized is
the hours permitted for Museum deliveries. The Museum has acknowledged that deliveries will
be limited to times that minimize impact on Civic Center parking; however, the times have not yet
been set. In addition, when the design for the HVAC system is finalized, the amount of square
feet leased by the Museum may change slightly. If this information is not determined at the time
the lease is signed, language acknowledging the potential change in square footage will be
included in the lease.
In addition, there is a typographical error regarding the square footage noted in the lease in
Section 5.1.2. The correct square footage on the lower level is 7,260.
