AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE
CONCERNING ACCESSORY BUILDINGS.
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Section 1.11 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Los
Gatos is amended to read as follows:
SEC 1. 11: ACCESSORY B U[LDINGS
The following regulation shall apply in the R -1 and RD Zones.
Accessory buildings, not exceeding one (1) story nor fourteen
(14) feet in height, shall be allowed; provided such accessory
buildings:
a. Shall be located on th.e rear half of the lot.
b. Shall not be less than ten (10) feet from the rear of a
main building located on the same lot.
C.
Shall be not less than five (5)
feet from any
street line.
d.
May occupy not more than forty
per cent (40 %)
of the
area of a required rear yard.
e. When located at the side of a main building, shall be not
less than f1.ve (5) feet from the main building nor less
than five (5) feet from the side lot line.
f. When located on a reversed corner lot, shall not project
beyond the front yard line required on the lot in the rear
of such lot, and shall not be closer than.flve (5) feet
from the side line along the front half of the adjoining
key lot.
g. When located on a lot having a slope of twenty-five per
cent (25 %) or more, said accessory building may be located
in the required front yard, provided every portion thereof
is located at least five (5) feet from the front line and
does not occupy more than fifty per cent (50%) of the
width of the front yard.
h. No garage shall be located closer than three (3) feet
to any side lot line.
I. Breezeways may be permitted to provide shelter between
buildings.
SECT 2.
This ordinance shall take effect and shall be in force
thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption. The Town Clerk
of the Town of Los Gatos shall cause this ordinance to be published
once ki.thin fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Los Gatos
Times- Saratoga Observer, a newspaper of general circulation,
published and circulated in the Town of Los Gatos.
The above and foregoing ordinance was duly and regularly
introduced at a regular meeting of the Town Council of
the Town of Los Gatos held on the 21st day of Jul ® � �,
