AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE SEC. 3,20,050
REQUIRING TREE REMOVAL PERMITS
THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS ORDAINS:
SECTION I.
SECTION 3,20,050 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE IS AMENDED TO READ:
SEC, 3.20.050: PROHIBITIONS
(1) Except as provided in sections 3,20.059 (1) and (2), it is
unlawful for anyone to remove or cause to be removed any
protected tree in the Town without obtaining a permit to do so,
(2) Except as provided in sections 3,20.055(1) and (2), it is
unlawful for any person or business entity engaged in the
business of removing trees or tree care to remove a tree without
a permit under this Chapter 3.20, This permit shall be on -site
at all times during the removal of a tree and must be made
available upon request from the Chief of Police, Director of
Parks and Forestry or their designees,
SECTION II
This ordinance takes effect 30 days after the date it is adopted,
Within 15 days after this ordinance is adopted the Town Clerk shall cause
it to be published once in a newspaper of general circulation published
and circulated in the Town,
This ordinance was introduced at a regular
meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos on February 2, 1 987
1987 and adopted by the following vote as an ordinance of the Town of Los
Gatos at a regular meeting of the Town Council on February 17, 1987 ,
