RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZINGTHE TOWN MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE'THE FIRST
AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT FOR PARKING LEASE BETWEEN THE TOWN OF
LOS GATOS AND VERIZON CALIFORNIA, INC.
THE TOWN COUNCII. OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS HEREBY RESOLVES:
WHEREAS, the Los Gatos Town Council previously adopted the Downtown Parking
Management Plan and directed staff to negotiate an agreement with Verizon California, Inc. for the.
use of their parking lot, and
WHEREAS, KAKU and Associates and Town staff successfully negotiated a lease with
Cushman and Wakefield on behalf of Verizon California, Inc. for the use of their parking lot, and
WHEREAS., on June 17, 2002, the Los Gatos Town Council adopted a resolution to execute
a fifteen year lease agreement with Verizon California, Inc, to use a portion of the lot located at 15
Montebello Way, Los Gatos, and
WHEREAS, the original lease .agreement designated a minimum of eleven parking spaces
be constructed for landlord's use within a designated boundary, and
WHEREAS, the original lease agreement specified the "Initial Term" shall not commence
on a date later than December 1, 2002 and until the landlord receives PUC approval, .and
WHEREAS, both parties wish to amend the lease agreement to limit the number of
landlord's parking spaces to be constructed within the premises boundary, and the "Initial Term"
shall not commence until the -landlord receives PUC approval and on a date no later than
December 1, 2003.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos
in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, that the Town Manager is authorized, and is hereby
'.directed to negotiate.and execute the First Amendment to the agreement for Parking Lot Lease with
Verizon California, Inc.
