2001-035-Allocating Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funds To The Town For FY 2001-02RESOLUTION 2001 - 35 RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS ALLOCATING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS TO THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2001-2002 WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos receives Community Development Block Grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the County of Santa Clara as a non -entitlement city pursuant to the provisions of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Acts of 1974 and 1977, as amended; and WHEREAS, the Community Services Commission reviewed all applications for funding from community agencies and whereas, the Community Services Commission held apublic hearing on March 15, 2001, and received public testimony; and WHEREAS, the Town Council considered the Community Services Commission's funding recommendations at a regularly scheduled council meeting on April 4, 2001; and WHEREAS, the Town has been notified that the CDBG allocation for Fiscal Year 2001-2002 is $180,874. NOW, THEREFORE, THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: A. The Town Council finds that CDBG funds are available for Fiscal Year 2001- 2002; and B. The Town Council adopts the recommendation of the Community Services Commission; and C. The Town Council does hereby authorize the expenditure of $180,874 to those CDBG programs set out in Exhibit A, attached and incorporated herein.
