RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZINGTHE TOWN MANAGER TO ACCEPT FUNDS FROM LOCAL LAW
ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT/BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE FOR THE
LOS GATOS/MONTE SERENO 'POLICE DEPARTMENT TO PURCHASE PATROL
CAR SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS/RECORDERS'
WHEREAS, the Local Law Enforcement Block Grant/Bureau of Justice Assistance has
awarded the Town of Los Gatos a grant with which the Town wishes to purchase equipment; and,
and,
WHEREAS, the Town has specified the grant funds would be used to purchase equipment;
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos is entitled to receive $13,3 94.00 under the terms of the
Local Law Enforcement Block Grant/Bureau of Justice Assistance program if the Town agrees to
comply with financial and administrative requirements set forth; and,
WHEREAS, the advisory board established to make a non -binding recommendation to the
Town on the use of the grant funds has recommended that the funds be used to purchase.two car
surveillance cameras/recorders, associated materials and maintenance for the Los Gatos/Monte
Sereno Police Department;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
County of Santa Clara, State of California, that the Town Manger is authorized to accept funds, from
the Local Law Enforcement Block Grant/Bureau of Justice Assistance for the purpose of purchasing
two car surveillance cameras/recorders and associated materials and maintenance for the Los
Gatos/Monte Sereno Police Department.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, California, held on the 5t' day of June, 2000 by the following vote:
