RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS GATOS
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO ACCEPT A $20,000 DONATION FROM
THE LOS GATOS POLICE FOUNDATION RECEIVED FROM STEVE AND JEANNE
LYON TO ASSIST IN THE PURCHASE OF A GENERAL PURPOSE CANINE AND
THE EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO SUPPORT THE CANINE, AND TO ACCEPT AN IN
CAR MOBILE VIDEO CAMERA, RECORDER AND ACCESSORY EQUIPMENT
DONATED BY THE ASSOCIATION OF BAY AREA GOVERNMENTS (ABAG)
VALUED AT $5,000
WHEREAS, a$20,000 donation from the Los Gatos Police Foundation received from Steve
and Jeanne Lyon was made to assist in the purchase of a general purpose canine and equipment; and,
WHEREAS, the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) has donated an in car
mobile video camera, recorder and accessory equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Town has specified that the donations would be used to purchase the
general purpose canine and equipment as specified by the donors; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Gatos is entitled to receive these donations; and,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Los Gatos,
County of Santa Clara, State of California, that the 'Town Manager is authorized to accept both
donations.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Los
Gatos, California, held on the 18t' day of December, 2000 by the following vote:
